About the Opportunity

The Safety & Quality Coordinator promotes a safe work environment across all IPH operations by supporting compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Reporting to the Safety and Quality Managers, this role works closely with Site Supervisors, Project Managers, and leadership to support safety programs, inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and to provide support on the documentation and compliance with installation standards — strengthening both safety culture and quality of work. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping IPH innovate and evolve as an industry leader and employer of choice.

What You Will Do

- Support the Safety & Quality Managers with site and office inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to proactively identify and eliminate risk and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Prepare, update, and maintain hazard assessments as project needs evolve, including pre-job hazard assessments (with Site Supervisors and Project Managers), confined space assessments, and the annual office hazard assessment.
- Support the Safety Manager and Site Supervisors with incident documentation and investigations, communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Deliver safety orientations and assist with onboarding for new employees.




- Manage employee safety certifications and coordinate required safety training across the organization, including validation and recertification tracking, ensuring team members are trained per site and project requirements.
- Maintain and inspect safety equipment, including rigging and fall protection systems.
- Coordinate and conduct fit testing for respiratory equipment, annual hearing tests, and D&A; testing as required.
- Prepare silica exposure control plans when required.
- Prepare and distribute supervisor resource binders, safety board materials, and site supplies (PPE, sign tags, inspection booklets), coordinating delivery and pickup as requested.
- Monitor and track active subtrades for current WorkSafeBC coverage, liability insurance, and compliance with the subcontractor requirements document, requesting and recording documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with HR to keep driver authorizations up to date.
- Support toolbox talks and safety meetings, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up on action items.
- Maintain WHMIS/SDS records and first aid supplies, equipment, and attendant coverage.
- Compile safety statistics and reports (e.g., incident trends, inspection findings) and support COR/internal audit preparation.
- Support the Quality Manager with quality control documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), pressure test records, and commissioning/turnover documents.
- Track deficiencies and non-conformances through to resolution and coordinate third-party and AHJ inspections as required.
- Support continuous improvement of IPH's quality and safety management systems, including document control of procedures and forms.




- Perform other related duties consistent with the role, skills, and level of responsibility as required.

About You

- NCSO, CSO or NHSA designation.
- 2+ years of experience in a safety related role in engineering, construction management or a related field (equivalencies may be considered).
- Knowledge of construction and mechanical trades is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required; occasional travel to project sites and partner offices is expected.
- Proficient with project and office software, with openness to learning, sharing knowledge and improving digital practices; Procore experience is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration, coordination and issue resolution.
- Adaptable and highly organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining financial and schedule targets. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
