Crystal's Gems is a local vegan crystal candy manufacturer based in Vancouver. We are seeking multiple cooking assistants with a possibility to become a cook to join our team while we are constantly expanding. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and committed to work in a fast pace environment. You will play a crucial role in assisting the cook and ensuring that our company operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Rotating pans and carts of candy for packaging
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with the line cook and assist in moulding and cutting products if deemed necessary
- Washing dishes and equipment
- Packaging products in a hygienic manner when needed
- Monitor food quality during packaging, making adjustments as necessary.
- Efficient, responsible, detail-oriented, and fast learner

Required





- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Due to several applicants, only applicants located in Burnaby, East Vancouver, or South Vancouver will be considered.
- Must be willing to have a flexible schedule - we are currently looking for full time candidates but for the suitable candidate, part time can be considered

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
