Silverado Industries is a Western Canadian construction company with multiple subsidiaries that is headquartered in Cranbrook, BC. Our high-performance team of professionals tackles the most unique, exciting and impactful construction projects in our area. We are currently seeking skilled apprentices or skilled laborer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

- Be able to comprehend blueprint reading and prepare layouts
- Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

- Have a minimum of 2 years construction experience
- Be a hard-working, organized, team player
- Be a proactive problem-solver
- Be able to follow instructions and willing to learn
- Demonstrate competence in the areas of safety and project execution
- Is adaptable to change, and variety of work
- Have a reliable vehicle for transportation
- Have the ability to show up on time or early
- Have a working cell phone
- Maintain a Positive, upbeat attitude
- Be a motivated self starter




- Have the ability to work without close supervision
- Full knowledge of construction materials, tools, machinery and processes
- Have excellent communication skills
- Safety Credentials an asset (WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Asbestos Awareness)
- Must have own PPE and basic hand tools

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cranbrook, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
