Framing Supervisor – Multi Family Construction

Location: Calgary and surrounding area

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Specialist with a strong background in wood frame construction, particularly on 4 to 6 story buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on framing experience and will be responsible for ensuring construction quality meets our standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive inspections of wood frame construction to ensure compliance with building codes, project designs, and quality standards.

- Identify and document construction defects or deviations from approved plans and recommend corrective actions.

- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality concerns and ensure timely resolutions.

- Perform regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.

- Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare reports for management.

- Provide expert advice and guidance on framing techniques and best practices.





- Support the implementation of quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in wood frame construction, with a focus on framing for multi-story (4 to 6 story) buildings.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify construction deficiencies.

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings.

- Certification or training in Quality Control or Construction Management is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
