Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Paint Associate to join our team. As a Paint Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers and contractors with their paint needs, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth and productive operation of the paint department. If you have an eye for design and colour - this position may be for you. Prior experience in the paint industry or interior design is an asset.
Duties
- Helping customers choose the perfect colour, and correct product for their project
- Mix and match paint colors according to customer specifications
- Provide product recommendations and answer questions about paint application and techniques
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking shelves and ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure the paint department is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet sales goals and targets
Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing personality who loves dealing with the public.
- Strong account management skills to build and maintain relationships with local clients and contractors.
- Sales experience in a retail environment preferred
- Organizational skills to manage inventory and keep track of orders
- Cashiering experience with basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50lb to assist customers and merchandise sales floor.
- Experience with Benjamin Moore product lines is an asset

Experience:
- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail Paint or Interior Decorating: 1 year (preferred)
