The Silk Road Spice Merchant is a Calgary-based company that specializes in herbs and spices from around the world. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, skilled person to fill a permanent, part-time, retail position at our retail location in Edmonton (10818 82nd (Whyte) Avenue).

The position is for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am - 5:30pm.

You will:

- learn all about our spices and blends (don't worry — we'll train you)
- participate in general production duties and store maintenance such as jarring and bagging spices, filling orders, restocking products, cleaning, counting inventory, etc.
- provide stellar customer service by chatting with customers about food, talking about our products, making recommendations, and processing sales

You have:

- exceptional attention to detail and a positive attitude
- a good knowledge of food and cooking with a passion for furthering that knowledge
- the capacity to work unsupervised and take responsibility for your productivity




- the ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds
- the ability to be on your feet for most of the day
