Position: Chartered Business Valuator (CBV)

Engagement: Independent Contractor (70/30 revenue share)

Location: Remote / Hybrid (Canada)

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare independent business valuation reports for various purposes (shareholder transactions, estate planning,



litigation support, financing, internal decision-making, etc.)
- Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and normalization of earnings
- Apply appropriate valuation methodologies (income, market, and asset-based approaches)
- Communicate findings clearly to clients in both written reports and meetings
- Maintain professional standards and documentation consistent with CBV Institute requirements
- Collaborate with Propel bookkeepers, accountants, and other specialists when needed on client engagements
- Meet agreed timelines and quality standards

Ideal Profile

- Designation as a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) in good standing
- Solid experience preparing formal valuation reports
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage client relationships
- Experience with small-to-medium-sized businesses, skilled practices, or clinics is an advantage
- Active professional liability insurance required

Compensation

70% of billed revenue on engagements you deliver. Propel provides branding, client opportunity support, basic administration, and payment collection infrastructure.

Pay: $75,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
