Overview
Abel Western is looking for an Exterior Estimator to join our team. This is a full time, in office position suited to someone who is organized, detail oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and interested in building a career in the soffit/fascia & siding estimating.

Previous estimating or construction experience is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate. If you have a robust work ethic, an eye for detail, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Estimator, you will help prepare accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects. Responsibilities may include:

- Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Completing material and quantity takeoffs
- Preparing project cost estimates
- Requesting and reviewing supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Comparing quotes and identifying project requirements
- Assisting with bid and proposal preparation
- Maintaining organized estimating records and project documentation
- Communicating with suppliers, subcontractors, project managers,



and other team members
- Tracking tender deadlines and ensuring estimates are completed on time
- Supporting the project team as required

What We’re Looking For

- Install or estimating experience is an asset, but not required
- Willingness to learn and develop estimating skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working with numbers and measurements
- Ability to read construction drawings is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn estimating software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
