Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional for a temporary full-time role in Richmond, BC. The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and can manage high-volume work accurately in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle accounts receivable, including payments, deposits, customer accounts, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
· Process accounts payable including invoice and corporate card expense review, coding, document matching, and payment preparation.
· Complete bank/credit card account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
· Support month-end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc analysis for management.
· Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, document organization, and internal information requests.
· Work with internal teams to resolve issues while managing high-volume accounting work accurately and on time.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
· Strong knowledge of accounts receivable,
accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, spreadsheets, and large data sets.
· Excellent accuracy, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
· Able learn/adapt quickly and to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Immediate availability, good communication skills, and a team-oriented approach preferred.
Preferred Assets
· Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
· CPA designation or current CPA enrollment.
· Experience with accounting or ERP systems, including Sage 1000.
· Experience supporting month-end close or account reconciliations.
Work Environment
This temporary full-time position is based in Richmond, BC and requires someone who can start right away, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
