THE OPPORTUNITY
Nido de Montessori is a diverse educational community, offering children an exceptional education in a nurturing environment. Guided by both Inquiry-based and Montessori pedagogies, our program is tailored to the individual needs of each child, with an intentional focus on social and emotional development, curiosity, and meaningful learning experiences.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our Language Department. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the French Language, and will be responsible for providing a positive and engaging learning experience for early learners.

The Role
As a French Teacher, you will:
- Create, plan, and organize weekly instruction for French: listening, writing, speaking, and singing for children ages 2 to 5 years.
- Develop a strong understanding of Nido’s school culture, and what sets us apart from other early learning centres.
- Establish loving, positive, safe and secure relationships with the children.
- Prepare the classroom to ensure a clean and safe environment, including the organization of classroom materials.
- Plan, implement, and organize a program in-line with Nido’s curriculum.
- Provide age-appropriate activities to support the development of children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical growth.
- Document children’s learning progress and communicate with families/caregivers and colleagues regarding children’s development and progress.
The Qualifications
As a French Language Teacher, you have:
- A clear Criminal Record Check
- A valid Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED Level B Certification
- A valid Early Childhood Certification (preferred)
- Canadian citizenship and/or legally permitted to work in Canada
- Strong communication skills; spoken and written in English
- Native or near-native proficiency in the French language
- A high level of responsibility and accountability

- Excellent interpersonal skills. Have a passion for building and maintaining relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Commitment
- 10 to 15 hours per month
- Weekly shifts between Monday to Friday
- Permanent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
