We are seeking an energetic and motivated Retail Supervisor to lead our store team and ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage sales staff, and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability. Your leadership will inspire a dynamic team, foster a positive setting, and drive store success through effective communication, organization, and customer service excellence.
Core Sales-Focused Duties
- Specifically on key products as Identified by the senior leadership with the team.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies and coordinating promotional activities, including setting up appealing product displays (visual merchandising) to attract customers and boost sales.
- In conjunction with the ownership team develop/implement weekly sales deals into the pos system.
- Championing excellent customer service and actively engaging with customers to provide solutions and build lasting relationships. This also involves handling escalated customer complaints and issues professionally.
- Training new and existing staff on product knowledge, sales techniques (like upselling), and customer service best practices.
- Strict adhgearance to ensuring daily inventory counts are accurate and corrective actions are in place for any discrepancies.
General Supervisory Duties
- Ensure you and the employees strictly adhere to provincial age requirements and ID checks for all cannabis and vape products on any customer who looks 30 or younger.
- Create/maintain a budget approved schedule, in conjunction with ownership.
- Approve team members shift change requests and sick call ins. while ensuring budgeted hours are maintained.
- Banking – Check deposits from staff, deposit cash from the night before and pick up cash/change from the bank when needed.
- Conduct cash drops to the bank and pick up cash/change from the bank as required.
- Complete in person SLGA inspections with the inspector, including reviewing security camera footage and inventory checks.
- Work with the ownership team on team performance or behaviour issues to implement corrective actions.
