General Crane is seeking a registered second-year Apprentice Welder to support its shop operations. This is a hands-on position involving grinding, buffing, material preparation, use of power tools, general shop cleanup and welding tasks appropriate to the apprentice’s current skill level.

Duties:

- Grind, buff and prepare metal components
- Safely operate grinders, drills and other power tools
- Perform welding tasks appropriate to second-year apprenticeship training
- Assist journeyperson welders and other shop personnel
- Move, organize and prepare materials
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE

Required:

- Welding, mechanical or electrical experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skill
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Class 5 Graduated License




- Driver's Abstract (may be requested)

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
