Carrera Customs is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our growing team.

We’re expanding the mechanical side of our shop and are looking for someone who knows what they’re doing, takes pride in their work, and can confidently complete jobs without needing constant supervision.

This is not an entry-level position, but Red Seal certification is not necessarily required. We’re open to strong candidates with substantial hands-on automotive experience.

About the Position

This is initially a part-time position with a very flexible weekday schedule.

It could be a great fit for:

- An experienced technician looking for fewer hours
- A Red Seal / Journeyperson looking for better work-life balance
- A semi-retired technician who still enjoys working in the trade
- Someone currently working elsewhere who wants an additional day or two per week
- An experienced tech who simply doesn't want a traditional 40–50 hour work week

We can work around the right candidate's availability.

What We Work On

Carrera Customs isn't a traditional general repair shop.

A large part of our business is wheels, tires, suspension and aftermarket automotive work, so you'll have the opportunity to work on more than just routine repairs.

Our work includes:

- Brakes
- Steering & suspension
- Wheel bearings
- General maintenance
- Mechanical repairs
- Suspension upgrades
- Lift & leveling kits
- Lowering kits
- Wheel alignments
- Wheels & tires
- Aftermarket accessories
- Modified vehicles
- Vehicle inspections & diagnosis

Experience with aftermarket suspension, lifted/lowered vehicles and wheel alignments is a major asset.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can confidently take a vehicle in, assess the job, complete the repair or installation properly,



and verify their work before the vehicle leaves.

The ideal candidate:

- Has professional automotive repair experience
- Can work independently
- Has robust knowledge of brakes, steering and suspension
- Understands proper torque procedures and vehicle safety
- Is comfortable working on a variety of makes and models
- Can properly inspect a vehicle and identify concerns
- Takes pride in clean, organized and careful workmanship
- Is dependable and communicates well with the rest of the shop

Experience with any of the following is a bonus:

- Red Seal / Journeyperson certification
- Wheel alignments
- Lift and leveling kits
- Aftermarket suspension
- Modified vehicles
- Electrical and diagnostic work
- Wheels, tires and fitment

Compensation

$25–$45/hour

Compensation will depend on experience, certifications, capabilities and the type of work you are able to perform independently.

Schedule

Weekdays only.

We're very flexible with the schedule to start and are more interested in finding the right technician than filling a specific set of hours.

Whether you're looking for one or two days per week, several days per week, or something in between, we'd like to hear from you.

There may also be an opportunity for additional hours as our mechanical department continues to grow.
