What We Offer

$20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

- Approximately 30.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Signing bonus: $100 after your first 3 months, plus an additional $150 after 6 months
- Paid bi-weekly via direct deposit

- 4% vacation pay and statutory holiday pay

What You’ll Do

As a Janitor with The Kind Hearted Company, you will help maintain clean, safe, professional commercial spaces across Greater Victoria.





- Clean commercial buildings and common areas to the KHC standard
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors throughout each site
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, and restock supplies
- Empty garbage and recycling; clean kitchens, staff areas, and high-touch surfaces
- Monitor cleanliness standards throughout your shift and report maintenance concerns to management
- Use company-approved cleaning products and equipment properly, following company procedures and safety protocols
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service at every site

Required Qualifications

- Legally authorized to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
- Strong attention to detail, and a reliable, professional attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical work
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality work

A driver’s licence and personal vehicle are not required for this position. Reliable transportation to and from work is the employee’s responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience
- Experience cleaning offices, strata buildings, schools, or commercial facilities
- Familiarity with WHMIS standards




- Customer service experience
- Long-term interest in growing within KHC

Candidates with little or no direct janitorial experience are still encouraged to apply with a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn. Previous experience is an asset, not a requirement.
