Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, welding, and assembling metal components using various techniques and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with welding processes such as MIG and TIG welding. The Welder/Fabricator will play a critical role in repairing ocean containers for our customers and manufacturing projects, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks.

Duties

- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret instructions to ensure accurate repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble parts as required for repairs
- Conduct rigging operations and operate cranes or forklifts as needed for material handling
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices
- Perform machining tasks such as cutting, drilling, or shaping metal parts to specifications




- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks

Experience

- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG) with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Familiarity with rigging procedures, crane operation, forklift handling, and material movement within a manufacturing setting
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics, and basic math calculations necessary for precise fabrication
- Construction or manufacturing experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Prior experience with containers or similar projects is a plus, this position offers an opportunity to work in a agile environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are valued. Pay: From $35.00 per hour
