Primary Role Responsibilities

- Prepare clear, complete, and commercially sound proposals for industrial HVAC design-build opportunities, coordinating technical, commercial, vendor, and client inputs through bid submission.
- Serve as the primary client contact during the bid phase, coordinating responses to client questions, clarifications, addenda, and technical or commercial follow-up items.
- Following successful award, support a structured proposal-to-project handover by transferring scope, assumptions, exclusions, pricing basis, vendor information, and client commitments to the project execution team.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage RFP documents, addenda, client specifications, drawings, schedules, commercial requirements, and submission instructions throughout the bid process.
- Develop proposal strategy, bid schedule, responsibilities matrix, and compliance checklist to ensure all RFP requirements are addressed before submission.
- Coordinate technical input from engineering, design, estimating, procurement, and vendor resources to develop a complete and aligned proposal.
- Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor quotations to confirm scope alignment, exclusions, commercial terms, schedule impacts, and technical compliance.
- Coordinate and document final proposal content, pricing inputs,



clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, approvals, and submission requirements through completion of the bid submittal.

Skill and Abilities

- ·Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bid deadlines, document revisions, vendor inputs, technical reviews, and client deliverables concurrently.
- Strong estimating and budgeting skills, including the ability to assemble proposal pricing, track assumptions and exclusions, compare vendor quotations, and support commercial review.
- Competent (fluent) in English (written, verbal, comprehension).
- Effective communication and interaction skills to liaise between clients, vendors, employees
- Working knowledge of applicable HVAC codes and standards, including CSA, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and building codes, sufficient to identify proposal requirements, compliance gaps, and technical risks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- 6-10 years HVAC design, installation and proposal preparation experience
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driver’s abstract for project-related travel.
- Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred.

Employment Requirements

· Residing in Alberta

· Valid driver’s license and acceptable abstract – client / vendor site visits required (project dependent)

· Legally entitled to work in Canada (must maintain a valid CDN Social Insurance Number for duration of employment)

· Full-time – versatile work schedule

Pay: $42.00-$52.00 per hour
