Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking, physically fit individual to join our production plant as a Glass Cutter (Hand Cutting / Pre-Cuts). This role is responsible for supporting our Tempering and IG Cutting departments by hand-cutting specialized glass (such as patterned, laminated, etc.) prior to production batches to keep our automated cutting machines running seamlessly.

Afternoon Shift Schedule

- 2:00 pm - 10.30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

- Hand-Cutting: Pre-cut specialized glass (patterned, laminated, etc.) using specific hand tools prior to automated batching.
- Daily Operations: Perform pre-operational inspections and check in daily with the Team Lead for directions.
- Performing mandatory safety and equipment inspections before starting daily operations.
- Timekeeping: Accurately clock in and out for all shifts using the timeclock system.
- Identifying and reporting any product defects to the shift supervisor.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Physical Fitness:



Capability to meet the physical demands of a fast-paced, repetitive manufacturing environment.
- Lifting Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently, and heavier glass sheets using team lifts.
- Stamina: Ability to stand and work for an 8-hour shift (plus overtime when required).
- Work Ethic & Reliability: Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a collaborative team-first attitude.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a dependable means of transportation to attend scheduled shifts.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, glazing, or construction environments is considered an asset but is not required.

Compensation, Hours, and Benefits

The starting wage for this position is 25.00 dollars per hour with an additional shift premium of 1.50 dollars per hour for the afternoon shift.
