About the Role
The Ottawa Flying Club is currently accepting applications for a permanent, full-time M1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. This is an chance to join a growing maintenance team supporting a busy and historic flight training unit operating primarily Cessna 150 and 172 aircraft.

Qualifications
- Valid Transport Canada M1 AME Licence (required)
- Experience with Cessna 150/172/182/206 aircraft strongly preferred
- Familiarity with piston engine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TCCA Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Program (CGP) registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level II security clearance
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform and certify maintenance activities in accordance with applicable CARs, the MPM, and MCM
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems including engines, airframes, and flight controls
- Conduct independent inspections as delegated by the PRM or DOM
- Supervise and support AME apprentices and students during maintenance tasks
- Ensure proper documentation and completion of maintenance records and work sheets
- Participate in engine runs, aircraft towing, and ground handling operations
- Report and document any airworthiness issues promptly and ensure appropriate rectification
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of internal procedures
- Assist with shop and ground support equipment maintenance
- Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance
