Senior Project Accountant

Location: Vaughan, ON - Full-Time (In-Office)

Compensation: $85k - $105k

About

The group is a developer and builder, specializing in the development and construction of low-rise communities and condominium projects. The role will oversee AP operations, manage project financials, invoicing, and any relevant accounting duties for a growing construction portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the AP process, including high-volume invoice coding and approvals.
- Manage full-cycle project accounting, including verifying work coming in from Accounts Payable, entering journals and invoices, invoicing, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close.
- Track costs and resolve billing and invoicing discrepancies.




- Maintain contract records and support year-end audit preparation.
- Perform job costing, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and financial forecasting.

Qualifications

- 5+ years in accounting; 3+ years in construction or real estate development.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA (or in pursuit) preferred.
- Experience with Sage and/or Microsoft Dynamics is considered a solid asset
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in project-based cost control.
- 100% In-Office (Vaughan, ON)

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
