Why this role is significant

As an Arbutus Room Line Cook, you play an important role in delivering an elevated dining experience through refined execution, consistency, and attention to detail. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in culinary craft and thrives in a kitchen environment focused on quality, timing, and teamwork.

A day in the life

- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Execute with precision in portioning, seasoning, and cooking techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout service
- Support smooth service through strong communication and teamwork
- Assist with setup, prep, and closing procedures
- Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
- Contribute to a kitchen culture built on professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What you'll bring to the team





- Previous professional kitchen experience required
- Experience in upscale or refined dining environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for culinary craft and continuous learning
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
