This is a delivery function with some administrative/clerical duties requiring daily travel, knowledge of related government regulations and significant amounts of physical labour. Work is performed with minimal supervision in a cross-functional team environment.

An employee in this position delivers all prepared shipments to customers, and picks up required materials from suppliers meeting courtesy, timing and safety expectations, through operating a truck within their license class, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may include the following (please note that the following examples are intended only as illustrations of the work performed in the position. - Safely and efficiently operates power saws and pipe threaders as required.
- Safely and efficiently operates delivery vehicle to pick up and deliver materials to and from specified destinations.
- Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges as specified..
- Maintains truck log, according to provincial and federal regulations.




- Maintains telephone contact with supervisor, warehouse, Pod, and/or office staff to communicate and receive shipping, pick up, delivery, vendor and customer information.
- Loads and secures cargo (in accordance with government regulations), and unloads truck, using fork trucks when necessary.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water on a daily basis, according to government standards.
- Logs and reports on activity, or lack thereof, at vendor, customer, and possible new account locations.
- Develops and maintains superior relations with customer personnel, actively pursuing additional sales opportunities as situations arise.
- Monitors and reports on the presence of the competition in delivery area.
- Attends all company and team meetings as required.
- Other duties as duly assigned.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
