Penner Farm Services Ltd, the leading providers of livestock equipment, supplies, and services in Western Canada is currently looking for a Electrician for its Blumenort, MB location.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and regulators
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and dryer controls;
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
- Interpret electrical code specifications
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records




- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Working on an on-call rotation which includes evenings and weekends

Skills Required:

- Ability to work on an on-call rotation
- Experience with barn controls, Maximum, Norsol, Phason and electric motor and generator repair is an asset;
- 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to liaise with employees, contractors and sub-contractors;
- Knowledge of electrical codes and required permits and licenses;
- Exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Effective time management and ability to handle stress;
- Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of customer service; friendly and willing to serve/help;
- Excellent attention to detail.
