Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our team on day shift. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision components used in the manufacturing of automotive dies, tooling, and related components.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with CNC equipment, reading engineering drawings, using precision measuring equipment, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Experience in a tool and die or automotive manufacturing environment is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC machining equipment to produce tool and die components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Load and unload workpieces and properly secure material in CNC machines.
- Follow CNC programs, setup sheets, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and offsets as required to maintain part quality.
- Monitor machining operations and identify issues such as tool wear, dimensional variation, or machine abnormalities.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Make minor tool changes, offsets, and adjustments within the scope of the position.
- Perform deburring, cleaning, and other finishing operations as required.
- Complete quality documentation, production records,



and inspection reports.
- Identify and report non-conforming parts or machining issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain CNC machines, tooling, work areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Work closely with Toolmakers, CNC Programmers, Machinists, and Supervisors to ensure tooling is produced accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with troubleshooting machining and tooling issues as required.
- Perform other duties related to CNC machining and tool room operations as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a tool and die, automotive, or precision manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and machining tolerances is an asset.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and machining processes.
- Ability to perform basic CNC machine adjustments and offsets.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.10-$28.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
