Part time Bookkeeper / Inventory Coordinator

Location: Burnaby. In Office.

Don Chendo is a growing importer and distributor of authentic Mexican food products serving retailers, wholesalers, foodservice customers, and hospitality partners across British Columbia. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented professional to support our accounting and inventory operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper (Weekdays) with inventory management experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, has experience maintaining accurate financial and inventory records while supporting day-to-day operations of a growing wholesale food business.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
- Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and inventory transactions, and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Match purchase orders (POs), receiving records, and supplier invoices.
- Process and track customer sales orders, coordinating with warehouse staff to support accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Communicate with customers regarding invoices,



statements and outstanding payments.
- Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory and order processing.
- Maintain organized financial and inventory records.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with inventory management and QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

- Experience using Fishbowl Inventory Software or other ERP/inventory systems.
- Experience in food manufacturing, importing, or distribution.
- Knowledge of landed costs and inventory costing methods.
