Job Description
As a Hockey Lion Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is to connect with customers — understanding their needs and providing the products, services, and advice to help them enjoy hockey to the fullest. You’ll be an ambassador for both the sport and our store, promoting a friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable environment.

Description of the Role
Our ideal team member is organized, adaptable, and thrives in a customer-focused environment. You’ll balance retail responsibilities, hands-on skate services, and product knowledge while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform skate sharpening and profiling with attention to detail
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide product recommendations and accurate information
- Accurately process transactions and handle cash
- Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented sales floor
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries




- Learn about new products and keep up with hockey industry trends
- Support ice surface operations when required

Required Education and Skills

- High school education preferred
- Hockey knowledge is essential (minimum 2 years)
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented

Entry to Intermediate

Compensation
At Hockey Lion, we value the hard work and dedication of our team members. Pay starts at CA$17.60 per hour, based on experience. Team members also enjoy store discounts. Flexible scheduling, but this position is mainly for evenings and weekends.

Job Location Requirements
On-location — Richmond Hill, ON. Applicants must be able to reliably commute and may be open to commuting to our Markham store.
