Tindill Electric is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, can confidently manage jobs independently, and understands that great electrical work and great customer service go hand in hand. - Primarily Monday–Friday daytime work.
- Approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work when required by projects or customer needs.
- Vacation pay equivalent to 2 weeks per year, paid with each paycheque.
- Jobs are located throughout Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Edmonton, and surrounding areas, reliable transportation is required.
- Mileage reimbursement for travel to and from job sites located more than 40 km from your primary residence.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work across a mix of residential and commercial projects, including:
- Residential rough-ins, finishing, service upgrades, panel work, and troubleshooting.
- Residential service calls and electrical repairs.
- Commercial conduit installation, equipment hookups, lighting, and other electrical systems.
- Diagnosing electrical issues and recommending practical solutions.
- Completing service calls independently while providing a professional customer experience.
- Explaining electrical issues, recommendations, and completed work clearly to customers.
- Completing work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Maintaining clean, organized, professional job sites.
- Recording project progress, materials, service details, and updates accurately in our CRM.
- Working alongside apprentices and other electricians to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Mentoring apprentices through strong examples of workmanship, safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Helping plan materials, tools, and job requirements before and during projects.
- Identifying ways to improve efficiency, processes, and the customer experience.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and service skills.
- Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls and project responsibilities.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to use a smartphone and camera for job documentation.
Assets
- Robust residential service experience.
- Commercial electrical experience.
- Solar experience.
- Experience working with CRM or field-service software.
- Experience mentoring apprentices.
