Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Water/Sewer Curb Side Hookup Laborer to join our utility installation team. This role involves working outdoors on water and sewer infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on curbside hookups. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in utility installation and maintenance while contributing to essential community infrastructure.

Duties

- Assist with the installation and connection of water and sewer lines at curbside locations.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to excavate trenches and position piping.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing piping components.
- Manage the safe operation of equipment including bucket operation and heavy machinery handling.
- Follow safety protocols during excavation, rigging, and equipment operation to ensure a secure work workplace.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of work zones,



including traffic control if necessary.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite cleanliness throughout projects.

Requirements

- Mechanical knowledge with experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, rigging procedures, and safety practices.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license is required for equipment operation or site access purposes.
- Prior experience is required
- Commitment to safety standards and ability to follow detailed instructions for complex tasks.

This role is vital for maintaining efficient water and sewer services within the community while providing valuable hands-on experience in utility construction and maintenance projects.

Pay: $19.42 per hour
