As a registered dental hygienist, your goal will be coaching patients on the road to improved periodontal health in conjunction with hygiene therapy. Your metrics of success is measured by stability, tissue response and patient compliance. Your great communication skills will engage and encourage .

The skill sets we are looking for :

-

-Certification from an accredited school of dental hygiene

-Licensure with the British Columbia College of Oral Health professionals

- professionalism

-Working knowledge of American Academy of Periodontology classifications for application

-perform thorough debridement through scaling and root planing

-perform prophy and fluoride treatments

-Excellence in technique and skills for ultrasonic ( Piezo / Magnetostrictive ) and hand instrumentation for removal of plaque, sub gingival and supra gingival calculus

-Self- sufficiency and self-motivation with a contributions toward team work

- CPR certification-
- be able to give local anesthetic and topical anesthetic applications




- good working knowledge of dental software- Tracker
- interest and aptitude for photography and intra- oral scanning
- be able to take radiographs and orthopantograms
- be genuine with gentle hands with excellent communication and listen skills
- be generous , compassionate, caring and empathetic

Responsibilities

As a Registered Dental hygienist you will be continuously learning in your field of expertise with adaptation. You will be responsible for;

-protecting and providing a safe and comfortable place for your patient

-designing personalized hygiene therapy regiments for individuals

-educating and coaching your patients to understanding periodontal health

-being a helping hand as part of a team

-documenting all findings with excellent hygiene instrumentation

-maintain good patient records

-be able to take radiographs and orthopantograms

- help foster camaraderie to promote healthy team and patient caring relationships
- share and help with responsibilities with clean up, sterilization and minor administrative work as part of overall team work .
- communicate and treatment plan with the dentist to outline the best treatment protocols for the patient

Pay: $58.00-$68.00 per hour
