River City Outdoor Living is growing, and we’re looking for a Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our team. At River City Outdoor Living, we specialize in high-end residential landscape construction, including patios, decks, retaining walls, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, irrigation, and complete backyard transformations.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Hand, you will work alongside the Foreman to help guide the crew and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities include:

- Assisting the Foreman with day-to-day crew leadership and jobsite organization
- Leading a small team while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality
- Installing hardscape features such as:
- Paver patios and walkways
- Retaining walls
- Decks and pergolas
- Garden beds and planting
- Landscape grading and base preparation
- Reading and following landscape plans and project layouts
- Operating equipment such as skid steers, compactors, and power tools
- Ensuring the jobsite remains clean, organized, and safe
- Communicating with the Foreman about progress, materials, and challenges

What We’re Looking For

Experience

- 2+ years in landscape construction or related trades
- Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, and hardscape features
- Previous leadership or crew supervision experience is an asset

Skills

- Strong work ethic and attention to detail




- Ability to lead by example and motivate a crew
- Comfortable operating landscape equipment and tools
- Ability to read landscape drawings and follow layouts
- Solid problem-solving skills on site

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license
- Physically capable of working in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
