We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Consultant to join our growing consulting practice. This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking flexible, meaningful work while supporting a variety of businesses and workplace challenges.

Initially, this role will require approximately 5–10 hours per week, with the opportunity to take on additional hours as our client base continues to grow.

Working directly with the owner, you will become a trusted extension of our business by providing practical HR advice, supporting clients during busy periods and vacations, and helping deliver the exceptional service our clients have come to expect.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide HR consulting support to IamHR Consulting Inc. and its clients, including:

- Responding to HR questions from business owners, leaders, and management teams.
- Providing practical, business-focused HR advice on workplace matters, including performance management, attendance, workplace conflict, and disciplinary issues.
- Drafting and reviewing employment letters, policies, procedures, and other HR documentation.
- Supporting clients with their recruitment needs, including job postings, candidate screening, interview support, and onboarding recommendations.
- Conducting research on employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices.
- Providing additional consulting support during vacations, busy periods, and times when additional HR resources are required.
- Develop & facilitate HR webinars and training
- Participating in client meetings virtually and occasionally in person.
- Building strong relationships with clients while identifying opportunities to expand HR support and services.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring all client information is handled with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience, including providing HR advice and guidance to leaders and business owners.




- Experience working in an HR consulting, advisory, or senior HR role.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and related legislation.
- The ability to confidently assess workplace situations and provide practical, business-focused recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with clients.
- A commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.

A CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset. We welcome applications from experienced HR professionals who may not hold a designation but demonstrate significant progressive HR experience, strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, sound professional judgment, and the ability to provide trusted HR advisory support to business owners.

Working Arrangement

- This is an independent consulting opportunity.
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week to start, with opportunities for increased hours as the business grows.
- Flexible schedule based on client needs.
- Primarily remote work from your home office.
- Occasional travel to client locations within Southwestern Ontario may be required.
- You must have your own computer, reliable internet connection, and a secure home office.

The successful candidate will invoice IamHR Consulting Inc. monthly for hours worked at an agreed-upon hourly consulting rate and will be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and statutory obligations.

Due to the confidential nature of our work, the successful candidate will be required to sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement before providing consulting services to our clients.
