We are currently accepting applications for a Human Resources/Payroll Administrator. This is a permanent full-time position at our location in West Edmonton, AB.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Human Resources/Payroll Administrator would be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. They provide administrative support for all departments to ensure successful management of staff, employee programs and company culture.

This position requires a professional individual who understands the confidential nature of the position and its responsibilities. To excel in this role, the candidate will be able to multitask with strong attention to detail, have excellent computer skills and a desire to provide administrative support to facilitate operational success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Assist in administering the Company group benefit and retirement programs including enrollments, changes and billing.
- Support the Payroll Manager in processing payroll
- Process accounting transactions, filing and data entry
- Perform employee onboarding including file management and system access
- Montior and track documentation to ensure files are current and compliant
- Assign training and monitor progress




- Coordinate employee travel arrangements for off-site training
- Submission of workers’ compensation and disability claims
- Facilitate company safety programs and training to ensure compliance to applicable provincial OH&S; legislation, including participation in Joint Health Safety Committee (JHSC)
- Assist in the management of safety compliance sites
- Participate in event planning, publishing Company newsletter and updating Company Internal suite.
- Provide basic employee relations support and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and administered.
- Manage confidential employee information
- Interact regularly with employees and managers over the phone, in person and by email.
- Respond to general email and phone inquiries, create and send correspondence, records maintenance
- Execute HR and payroll practices as per Company policies and compliance with provincial/federal requirements
- Perform a variety of administrative functions as required.

Qualifications:

- Post Secondary Education or equivalent experience. Preferably in accounting or Human Resources.
- Minimum 2-years previous experience in an administrative role, preferably accounting, office management, payroll or human resources.
- Enrolled, or aspirations to enroll,



in the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) program
- Previous experience managing a Company safety program is an asset
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required.
- Strictly upholds and enforces confidentiality of employee information.
- Ability to multi- task with good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze, take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Focused on providing administrative support to others and helping achieve success
- Ability to interact confidently with others through both written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Adaptable to changes in daily tasks when required

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
