Unico Power develops intelligent EV Charging and Energy Management Systems (EMS) for residential and commercial multi-unit buildings across Canada. We work closely with developers, electricians, property managers, contractors, and residents to deliver reliable EV charging solutions from design and commissioning through ongoing technical support.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced, hands-on professional to lead our Field Operations team while supporting technical projects across Metro Vancouver.

About the Role

This is more than a field technician role.

As the EV Charging Technical & Field Operations Lead, you'll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day field operations, leading our Field Operations Technicians, coordinating EV charging projects, and supporting customers through installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing service.

This role combines technical troubleshooting, project coordination, customer support, and team leadership. You'll work closely with electricians, developers, property managers, contractors, and our internal engineering team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving technical problems, supporting others, and helping improve the way we operate.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support the Field Operations Technicians across daily service and project activities
- Coordinate technician schedules, service calls, commissioning appointments, and site visits
- Manage EV charging projects from installation through commissioning and customer handover
- Troubleshoot EV Charging and Energy Management Systems remotely and on-site
- Diagnose electrical, networking, communication, hardware, and software issues




- Work directly with developers, property managers, residents, electricians, and contractors to resolve technical issues
- Review technical documentation, installation drawings, commissioning reports, and service records
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely communication with customers and internal teams
- Develop and improve operational procedures, technical documentation, and field processes
- Support product testing, process improvements, and continuous operational improvements
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Field Operations Technicians

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have experience in several of the following:

- Technical field service or field operations
- Technical support or systems troubleshooting
- Project coordination or project management
- Leading technicians or coordinating field teams
- Electrical systems, networking, industrial automation,



or building technologies
- Customer-facing technical support
- Reading technical drawings and installation documentation
- Working with contractors, electricians, and project stakeholders

Requirements

- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
- Experience with EV charging systems or Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Reliable vehicle for travel throughout Metro Vancouver
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfortable working in construction sites, parkades, and occupied residential buildings
- Able to lift and move equipment as required
