About Us Green Bay Bible Camp is more than just a summer destination—it’s a place where lives are transformed through the love of Christ. We’re looking for a Lead Cook who is passionate about food, hospitality, and ministry, and who loves creating delicious meals while serving others with joy.

Job Summary As Lead Cook, you’ll work closely with our Food Services Manager to ensure campers, staff, and guests are well-fed and cared for. You’ll help plan, prepare, and serve meals with excellence, joy, and a heart for ministry. This role includes irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to support the rhythm of camp and guest group seasons.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for guest groups and summer campers
- Ensure meals are served on time and at optimal quality
- Assist with menu planning, ordering, inventory, and budget management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health regulations
- Assign tasks and support discipleship training staff, part-time staff, and volunteers
- Foster a positive, Christ-centered team environment
- Adapt to changing schedules and dietary needs




- Model servant leadership and Christ-like hospitality
- Support other departments as needed to fulfill the camp’s mission

Qualifications

- Food Safe Level 1 certification (required)
- Experience cooking for groups in camp, church, or commercial settings
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to mentor youth and lead a team
- Calm under pressure, able to multi-task and problem-solve
- Adaptable to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Understand and abide by Green Bay Bible Camp’s policies and procedures
- A servant heart and positive attitude

Compensation & Benefits

- Annual salary: $40,000–$50,000 (based on skills and experience)
- Two weeks of vacation plus additional time off between Christmas and New Year’s

- Meals included when guests are on site (provided as a taxable benefit)
