About the Position

Thorsby Childcare Centre is looking for a caring, dependable, and confident Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Childcare Supervisor.

This is a leadership position for an educator who enjoys working directly with children while also supporting staff, maintaining strong program standards, and helping create a positive environment for children, families, and educators.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide leadership, guidance, and day-to-day support to the childcare team
- Work directly with children and support engaging, developmentally appropriate programming
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing requirements and centre policies
- Support staff scheduling, classroom organization, and daily centre operations
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, school staff, and educators
- Support staff with child guidance, programming, documentation, and professional practice
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, organized, and inclusive childcare setting
- Communicate effectively with families and respond professionally to questions or concerns
- Work collaboratively with management to maintain high-quality childcare programming

Qualifications

Required:





- Alberta Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and professional

Preferred:

- Previous supervisory, lead educator, or childcare leadership experience
- Experience working in licensed childcare in Alberta
- Experience with kindergarten and/or school-age childcare
