Factory Outlet Trailers (FOT) is looking for a reliable, motivated team member to join our Kamloops location. This is a hands-on position that combines yard operations with truck upfitting and light mechanical work. If you enjoy variety and like learning recent skills, this could be the perfect opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing
Every day is different. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a forklift to safely move trailers and equipment
- Loading and unloading trailers
- Organizing and maintaining the trailer lot
- Preparing trailers for customer pickup and delivery
- Installing truck decks and basic truck upfitting equipment
- Completing minor trailer and truck repairs
- Assisting with trailer inspections and PDI work
- Washing and detailing trailers as required
- Keeping the yard, shop, and inventory clean, organized, and safe
- Supporting the sales and service teams as needed
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience operating a forklift
- Holds a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Has mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with tools
- Can complete basic truck deck installations or is eager to expand their skills
- Is dependable, organized, and takes pride in their work
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
Experience Considered an Asset
- Truck deck installations
- Trailer repairs and maintenance
- Welding or fabrication
- Electrical wiring and lighting
- Hydraulic systems
- Hitch and accessory installations
- Heavy equipment or construction experience
