Duties

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial trailers, including brake systems, electrical wiring, suspension components, and structural elements.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and your extensive mechanical knowledge.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently during repair or assembly processes.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to execute repairs with precision.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment to handle large trailer components or heavy machinery parts.
- Read and interpret technical schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems or mechanical failures accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble new trailers or modify existing units according to specifications.




- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

- Proven dealership experience or hands-on mechanic experience working with heavy equipment or trailers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial equipment is highly desirable.
- Skilled in welding, using hand tools, power tools, and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding setting.
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles applied to trailers or similar industrial equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for farm machinery, HVAC systems related to trailer refrigeration units, or similar industrial systems is a plus.
- Electrical experience related to trailer wiring or control systems is advantageous.
