We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting for a Long-term Contract position based in North York, Ontario. This role is well suited to someone who can manage reconciliations, oversee month-end activities, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger. The successful candidate will work across recurring reporting cycles, help resolve account variances, and contribute to a disciplined and efficient close process.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, including posting journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
- Maintain the general ledger by validating transactions, investigating discrepancies, and supporting accurate financial reporting.
- Produce monthly financial reports and supporting schedules for internal review and decision-making.
- Analyze variances across accounts and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
- Support reporting and reconciliation activities within systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
- Assist with ongoing accounting process improvements and contribute to operational changes affecting financial workflows when required.
- Proven experience in a senior accounting role with strong responsibility for reconciliations and financial close activities.
- Hands-on expertise with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of general ledger management, journal entries, accruals,



and month-end reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and account support schedules.
- Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or comparable accounting software.
- Ability to manage monthly and quarterly deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify variances and resolve accounting issues effectively.
