Dispatcher – Night Shift (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Job Description

We are hiring a Night Dispatcher to join our logistics team in Mississauga. This role is responsible for coordinating driver departures, verifying shipment documentation, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring all routes are dispatched accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

- Review route lists and confirm each driver has the correct invoices for their assigned route
- Verify that invoice totals are accurate and not zeroed out
- Count Costco racks and Loblaws skids to confirm quantities match pick sheets and invoices; note and flag any discrepancies
- Have each driver count and sign off on their load before departure
- Monitor driver departure times and assist as needed to prevent delays
- Use GPS software to track drivers in real time and confirm deliveries stay on schedule
- Follow up with drivers who are stopped longer than 30 minutes to determine the cause of delay
- Report any delays, missing invoices, or driver no-shows to the supervisor promptly

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations




- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable using computers and GPS/tracking software
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts
- Able to work in a cold environment (0°C to 5°C)
