Type of Employment: Full-Time Permanent (40 hours/week)

Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Under the direction of the Manager, the Merchandiser & Events Coordinator is required to:

- Create and maintain visually appealing merchandise displays throughout the boutique.
- Ensure the store is fully stocked with all sizes, styles and products.
- Rotate displays seasonally and for holidays, promotions and special events.
- Refresh front tables, mannequins and feature displays on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate pricing, signage and product descriptions.
- Receive inventory, stock shelves and replenish merchandise as needed.
- Organize storage areas, inventory bins and back-stock.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain inventory records.
- Keep the boutique, cash area, fitting room and customer spaces clean, organized and welcoming.
- Continually seek new merchandising ideas to improve customer experience and increase sales.

Event Coordination & Guest Services

- Coordinate, organize and execute farm events, workshops and seasonal experiences alongside the Manager.
- Plan, schedule and host birthday parties, private farm experiences and group bookings.
- Coordinate vendor communications and event logistics for markets and special events.
- Prepare event schedules, floor plans and event materials.
- Welcome guests and ensure every visitor receives an exceptional customer experience.
- Assist in leading farm tours and educational experiences when required.
- Set up and take down event spaces before and after each event.
- Troubleshoot event issues and provide excellent customer service throughout each event.

Marketing & Customer Correspondence

- Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails, website inquiries and phone calls.
- Manage tour, birthday party and event bookings.
- Update website content, event listings and promotional information.
- Add new products to Shopify and maintain product information.




- Design marketing materials including posters, brochures, signs, tickets and social media graphics.
- Create and schedule social media content as needed.
- Send customer newsletters and promotional emails.
- Assist with media releases and advertising campaigns.
- Coordinate communications with vendors, customers and event participants.
- Provide knowledgeable customer service regarding farm experiences, boutique products and alpaca fibre.

- Strong merchandising and visual display skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience planning and coordinating events.
- Robust customer service and hospitality skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Shopify, QuickBooks, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
- Photography, graphic design or social media experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to learn product knowledge and confidently assist customers.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to assist with event setup, merchandising and inventory movement.

Additional Information

- Weekend availability is required.
- Additional hours may be required during events and peak seasons.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
