Job Description:

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Island Health ( Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient & staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reports to the Section Head, Radiology, responsible for the operation of a particular service of the Medical Imaging Department. The incumbent may be assigned permanent night or evening shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

Graduate from a recognized Radiology Technology program. Registration in valuable standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), BC Division. Previous experience in all types of general radiology with exposure to advances procedures preferred.

Skills And Abilities

- Demonstrated proficiency in all routines specific to the area.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and position patients for examinations.
- Ability to work independently.
