Job Description: Dental Receptionist/Assistant Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support to help ensure an efficient, welcoming, and high-quality experience for our patients. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental practice.

Key ResponsibilitiesReception Duties

- Welcome and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Verify insurance information and process patient payments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update personal and medical information.
- Coordinate with the dental team to ensure an efficient daily schedule.
- Manage recall and appointment reminder systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and skilled reception area.

Dental Assistant Duties

- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Prepare dental materials and instruments for procedures.




- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education.
- Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a dental office is an asset.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
- Dental Assisting education or certification preferred.
