About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with a strong background working for a General Contractor. This role is responsible for leading the preconstruction process on commercial renovation and institutional projects, from design review through final bid submission and project handoff.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, bid packages, RFIs, and value engineering recommendations.
- Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to identify project scope, risks, and phasing requirements.
- Conduct site visits and evaluate existing conditions for renovation projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, evaluate quotations, and negotiate pricing.
- Support project teams with change order pricing and project handoffs.
- Utilize contemporary estimating software and AI tools to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications





- 5+ years of estimating experience working directly for a General Contractor.
- Strong experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, government, or light industrial renovation projects.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX, ProEst, Sage, or similar, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. PMP or Gold Seal certification is considered an asset.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
