Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Weekend availability may be needed)
OR
Wednesday - Saturday 7:45 AM start (10-12 hours shift)
Please note: Supervisors may adjust the schedule based on business needs; flexibility with schedule is needed.
Position Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a well-established auto dealership in Halifax, NS seeking skilled and detail-oriented Drivers. This role involves conducting thorough pre-trip & post-trip inspections to ensure all vehicles meet strict dealership quality standards.
This is a fast-paced and demanding position, ideal for individuals who thrive under pressure and have a sharp eye for identifying even the smallest imperfections, including scratches, dents, and interior defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Shuttle vehicles between vendors, storage yards, and dealership facilities.
- Support vehicle onboarding and detailing teams as required.
- Assist with organizing vehicles in the warehouse and outdoor lots.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements.
- Meet daily shuttle and turnaround targets.
- Work closely with the Production team to support inventory readiness.
- Perform detailed exterior inspections (body condition, dents, scratches, paint, lights, tires)
- Conduct interior inspections (seats,
dashboard, electronics, controls, overall condition)
- Accurately complete and submit inspection checklists & reports
- Ensure vehicles are handled safely and in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Previous driving & vehicle inspection is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Basic mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
- Automotive repair/mechanic experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to complete thorough inspections within 10–15 minutes
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Strong English communication and documentation skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends
Additional Information
Training will be provided; however, we are looking for fast learners who can quickly perform accurate and efficient inspections. This is a high-responsibility role with no margin for error, requiring focus, speed, and precision.
