Responsibilities
- Coordinate full cycle recruitment including job postings, resume screening, interviews, reference checks, offers, and onboarding.
- Support employee onboarding, orientation, training administration, offboarding, and HR documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee and management inquiries related to policies, benefits, attendance, accommodations, and workplace concerns.
- Assist with employee relations, performance management, investigations, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain employee records, HRIS updates, and confidential personnel files.
- Administer benefits, leaves of absence, disability claims, return-to-work programs, and related documentation.
- Provide backup support for payroll processing, employee setup, time and attendance reviews, and payroll-related inquiries.
- Coordinate training, health and safety administration, compliance tracking, and development programs.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics related to recruitment, turnover, attendance, training, and headcount.
- Support HR projects, policy updates,
process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CHRP designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar human resources support role.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, payroll practices, benefits administration, HRIS systems, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with payroll and workforce management systems is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to providing excellent employee support and service.
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
