About the Role
As a Diamond Driller, you will be responsible for safely operating surface diamond drilling equipment, producing high-quality core samples, maintaining drilling equipment, and ensuring all work is completed according to company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate surface diamond drilling equipment to extract core samples
- Monitor drilling operations and adjust drilling parameters as required
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on drilling equipment
- Follow all site safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain accurate drilling logs and production records
- Complete pre-operational equipment inspections
- Wear required PPE at all times, including hard hat,
hearing protection, high-visibility clothing, and CSA-approved steel-toe boots
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work effectively with helpers, supervisors, and site personnel
What You Need to Succeed
- Minimum 2 years of surface diamond drilling experience
- Surface Common Core 770200
- Valid Standard First Aid certification
- WHMIS certification
- 4-Step Awareness training
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
