FOOD INDUSTRY COMPANY LOOKING FOR A FINANCIAL ANALYST

Busy Food Production company looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing team based in Mississauga, Ontario.

Who Are We:

Chef Brandz Inc. is a food manufacturing and consulting company focused on culinary product development, menu design and production. In addition to our own branded products, we produce private label food products and HMR menus for some of the largest retailers, restaurants and airlines in Canada and internationally.

Successful applicants should be knowledgeable in business acumen and pricing analysis mechanisms. They will also be required to have general accounting practical knowledge and able to complete simple accounting tasks.

Core Responsibilities

- Perform business analysis and reporting for assigned projects
- Estimating costs and comparing budgets with actual expenses
- Monitoring costs after significant changes in products or processes
- Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs vs budgeted costs
- Create and manage budgets, and monitor spending




- Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory
- Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions
- Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc

Requirements

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
- Proven experience as a financial analyst, cost specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge in business management and data analysis
- 3 years + experience in related role as required
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are needed
- Effective reporting and presentation skills
- Excellent Microsoft skills, particularly with excel
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks/Pivot table/Dashboard/Vlookup/Advance Excel
- Tech-savvy, must be comfortable to learn different ERP systems and make business recommendations based on data analysis

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
