About the Company
Our client is a leading Canadian manufacturer of office furniture, with additional product lines supporting the healthcare and education sectors.
This position supports a metal manufacturing facility with a variety of industrial production equipment, including hydraulic presses, punch presses, robotic welding cells, ABB robots, conveyor systems, powder coating equipment, and machine shop equipment.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic / Millwright to join the Maintenance team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving industrial production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting mechanical problems, working independently, and keeping production equipment running with minimal downtime. Candidates currently performing similar industrial maintenance work are encouraged to apply, including experienced professionals who may not hold a trade certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and manufacturing machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical control systems.
- Maintain and repair motors, sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), conveyors, presses, punch presses, robotic equipment, and other production machinery.
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and work orders.
- Complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
- Follow all plant safety procedures while supporting production and maintenance operations
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3)
years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, motors, conveyors, presses, bearings, and gearboxes.
- Experience with electrical controls, sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs); ABB robotics experience is considered an asset.
- Trade certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on industrial maintenance experience is considered an asset. Experienced candidates currently performing similar work are encouraged to apply.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable using CMMS and standard computer applications.
- Must own a complete set of basic hand tools.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 kg (66 lbs).
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely work around industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in a facility with noise, dust, lubricants, and other industrial conditions.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift or scissor lift) if properly licensed.
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Experience:
