Position Title: RECE Extended Day Educator

General Responsibilities: Qualified applicants will be responsible for providing a physically safe and emotionally supportive setting, as well as meeting the individual developmental needs of the child. They will be responsible for planning and maintaining the highest quality experience in before and/or after school programs, order to enhance the children’s development. They will also be responsible to build relationships, effectively communicate, and engage with the children in a welcoming workplace. Applicants will ensure the philosophy of the program is upheld, and will consistently maintain our best practice guidelines.

Main Duties Will Include:

- Planning, developing, and implementing programs of stimulating activities that promote the physical,



social emotional, and intellectual well-being of the children.
- Supervising children within the Extended Day program both indoors and outdoors.
- Serving the children snacks and lunch.
- Responsible for record keeping (i.e. attendance logs, etc.).
- Maintain a safe and engaging environment.
- On-going communication with parents/guardians and school partners.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and agency meetings as required.
- Report to the childcare supervisor.

Requirements:

· RECE preferred

· Current police record check with vulnerable sector check

· Standard First Aid level C, AED
