Wage: $36.43 per hour + benefits according to Union Provincial Collective Agreement (full-time position)

Location of Work: Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario

What You’ll Do:

- Sweep and clean roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials
- Provide assistance to skilled roofers installing and repairing roofs, flashings, and surfaces
- Remove old roofing materials
- Prepare roofs for re-roofing or new roofing projects
- Assist with the installation, repair and replacement of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel
- Assist with the application of waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level




- Pour hot asphalt and tar
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Set up ladders, scaffolds, and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads; Large workload
- Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced environment.

- Conventional and inverted built-up system
- Modified roofing system
- Rigid pre-formed roofing system
- Single ply sheet membrane roofing system

Job Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial flat roofing
