Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled 3rd or 4th year Heavy-Duty (HD) Mechanic with a focus on commercial transport to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of logging trucks and trailers

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial vehicles and ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills further in a quick-paced setting that values technical expertise and service excellence.

Duties

- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including engine, transmission, braking systems, and electrical components
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on commercial transport vehicles and to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air systems
- Operate trucks, skid steer, and loader safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs with precision
- Must have own tools
- Assist in assembling or disassembling machinery components for repair or replacement purposes
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs,



and parts inventories to ensure accurate documentation of all work performed

Skills

- Proven commercial transport or heavy duty mechanic workshop experience with a strong mechanical background
- Solid understanding of hd mechanic and commercial transport
- Hands-on experience with log trucks trailers ,HVAC systems, welding techniques, and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and other maintenance equipment
- Strong heavy lifting skills with the ability to handle large components safely
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients or team members
- Knowledge of heavy equipment , log trucks operation for maintenance purposes; familiarity with industrial equipment assembly processes
